The Wall Street Journal Has a New Owner
What will Murdoch's purchase of Dow Jones do to the Journal? I have no idea.
Murdoch has done an excellent job with Fox News Channel. I think his purchase of the paper may be a good move for both. As an economist, I have been reading the journal for years. Their coverage of financial news has been excellent until recently. Now I have to refer to their online edition to get the data I need. Their editorials have usually been very good. With the exception of the issues of illegal immigration, and the question of fixed vs floating exchange rates, I usually find myself agreeing with their editorials and many of their gueat Op-Eds.
