Sigourney Weaver: Socialist Moonbat of the Week
I get a big tingle up my leg every time some Hollywood celebrity speaks out against 'big business' and in favor of serving 'the people'. Sigourney Weaver speaks out in favor of us poor proletarians:
You are a two-legged big business. And since the Democrats are doing what you want done, it is clear that is whom they are serving. You know nothing whatsoever about living on a modest income because you have never experienced that in your lifetime.

"...the Democrats are always going to be about what the people need. And the Republicans are much more serving big business..."So Sigourney, can the daughter of the former president of NBC be considered a member of the working class? How much money did you make from acting in the Aliens movies, the Ghostbusters movies, Working Girl, and Avatar?

Bar Heckler is Suing Bristol Palin
Those of you who wonder why I have no respect for the left, this is a perfect example why. Stephen Hanks called Bristol Palin's mother a "whore" and said she will burn in hell. So what is he doing now? Suing her for asking if he is homosexual.
Mind you, he doesn't go after someone in a position of power like Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, or Barack 0bama. He attacks the 20 year old daughter of a former governor of a sparsely populated state.

Seller of Munch's "The Scream" Says Image of Moment When We Realize Damage from Greenhouse Emissions
One of four surviving drawings of Edward Munch's "The Scream" recently sold at auction for nearly $120 million. That's well and good, because it is a quite interesting work of art. But get a load of how the seller, Mr. Petter Olsen, interprets the work:

Speaking to its enduring topical nature and present-day relevance, Olsen said "The image of 'The Scream' could make more of us fathom the magnitude of the consequences of our continuing emissions of greenhouse gases."Or perhaps it is the 'horrifying moment' when we realize we have fallen for an obvious hoax and paid billions more for our energy than we needed to.
"For me, (it) shows the horrifying moment when man realizes his impact on nature and the irreversible changes that he has initiated, making the planet increasingly uninhabitable."

As if I Need Another Reason to Dislike Islam
Preparations for Lady Gaga's Jakarta concert continued on Monday as the event's promoter, undaunted by protesting Islamist organizations and a lack of a concert permit, released another 2,000 tickets for the sold-out show.
“We have already sold 52,000 tickets, not counting these 2,000 additional tickets,” said Michael Rusli, president director of Big Daddy, the concert's promoter.
“Public enthusiasm is very high,” he said.
The US pop star's Jakarta concert has attracted the attention of Indonesia's radical Islamist organizations, who have threatened to forcibly prevent Lady Gaga from stepping off her plane and have warned police that the singer will corrupt the nation's youth. The Jakarta Police responded on Sunday by recommending that the concert — part of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way Ball" tour — be canceled.

Is Access to Contraceptives Really So Difficult?
I am not a member of the catholic church, nor any other church. But I respect their right to practice their religion as they see fit, provided it hurts no one else.
0bama and his fellow geniuses are claiming that unless the catholic institutions provide contraceptives in their health insurance policies for female employees, that these ladies will not have any access to contraceptives.
I wanted to find out just how difficult it is to obtain contraceptives. I was at my local Target's pharmacy yesterday and asked the pharmacist if they had any oral contraceptives on their cheap generics list. She gave me a copy of their list and said that 28-day supplies of both Sprintec and Tri-Sprintec are available for $9 each. You need a doctor's prescription but no insurance is needed. You may see the list online here (scroll down to bottom of the list). At Target, you may also get Trojan condoms for as little as $13.99 for a box of 36.
The very idea that contraceptives should be included in health insurance is ludicrous. The purpose of insurance is for catastrophic risks, such as open-heart surgery, not daily health care needs. Many, if not most women of child-bearing age take contraceptives. Are we also going to require their employers pay for their toothpaste and dental floss?
This entire debate highlights another issue. When the government takes financial resposibility for some human endeavor, such as health care, they will inevitably try to force people to conform to their values. Leftists like 0bama love to engage in social engineering.
The government has no business telling any employer what they must include in any health care plan.
