Carla Dartez, a state legislator in Louisiana, has found herself on the defensive for calling a black supporter "Buckwheat".

A Democrat who serves in the Louisiana legislature called a black supporter "Buckwheat" just days before the runoff election that will determine whether or not she returns to Baton Rouge.
Rep. Carla Blanchard Dartez said "Talk to you later, Buckwheat" at the end of a telephone conversation with a black woman who helped drive voters to the polls on Election Day. (Buckwheat was a character in The Little Rascals who has come to symbolize demeaning racial stereotypes.)
"I've never had no one talk to me that way and I considered it a racial slur," Hazel Boykin tells the Associated Press. "I know the meaning of it, it's just like the N-word."

Some like Dymphna at Gates of Vienna are saying they glad that a Democrat is being held to the same standards as Republicans for once. But I'm not so sure. If the perpretrator of this horrendous racist hate crime had been a Republican, the Right Revruns Jackson and Sharpton would be down there seizing their photo ops in front of the Lamestream Media.

I wonder what will happen if I refer to some white guy as "Alfalfa" or "Spanky"? Let's see....

Is the Belgian Vlaams Belang Party a Fascist Group?

I have been reading lately about the heated argument among the anti-jihad websites concerning whether or not the Flemish secessionist party Vlaams Belang is fascist or white supremacist. Blogs such as Little Green Footballs, Gates of Vienna, and Brussels Journal have really locked horns over the issue. There is no point in me repeating their arguments here. I would just like to quote something I read on Vlaams Belang's website:

That doesn't sound fascist to me. In spite of the utter nonsense we often hear from the left, a necessary condition for fascism is a government-controlled economy. That's why the Nazis were the National Socialist German Workers Party.

Whatever may have been the past of some of the members of Vlaams Belang, they certainly are not acting as fascists now. Unfortunately their critics at LGF and elsewhere have been employing the same smear tactics used for decades by the left.

The Last Surviving World War I Veterans

My grandfather was a WWI veteran. He served in France in the army of occupation, after hostilities had ended. He returned to Texas with a tulip tatooed on his shoulder and married my grandmother. Grandad passed away in 1993 and he has been missed, as he was one of the greatest men I have ever known.

Now there are three surviving WWI veterans still alive. Richard Rubin in the New York Times writes about one of them:

A few years ago, I set out to see if I could find any living American World War I veterans. No one — not the Department of Veterans Affairs, or the Veterans of Foreign Wars, or the American Legion — knew how many there were or where they might be. As far as I could tell, no one much seemed to care, either.
Eventually, I did find some, including Frank Buckles, who was 102 when we first met. Eighty-six years earlier, he’d lied about his age to enlist. The Army sent him to England but, itching to be near the action, he managed to get himself sent on to France, though never to the trenches.
After the armistice, he was assigned to guard German prisoners waiting to be repatriated. Seeing that he was still just a boy, the prisoners adopted him, taught him their language, gave him food from their Red Cross packages, bits of their uniforms to take home as souvenirs.

It will be some time before the last WWII veteran leaves us. There is probably some man out there who was born in 1930 and in 1945 he faked his birth certificate and enlisted. He will live to be 105 or even 110. So we are looking at 2035 or possibly as late as 2040 before the last WWII veteran passes away. In fact, he might outlive me, and I was too young even for Vietnam.

Margaret Thatcher would no more have identified herself as a woman, or claimed special pleading that she was a mere frail girl, or asked you to sympathize with her because of her sex, than she would have called up the Kremlin and asked how quickly she could surrender.
She represented a movement. She was its head. She was great figure, a person in history, and she was a woman. She was in it for serious reasons, not to advance the claims of a gender but to reclaim for England its economic freedom, and return its political culture to common sense. Her rise wasn't symbolic but actual.

I wonder what Herself plans to do if she is elected president and some foreign thug like Ahmadinejad, Chavez, or Castro fails to bow to Her feminine sensitivities.

Margaret Thatcher would not have batted an eye, had her opponents in her own party ganged up on her like the Democrats did on the PIAPS in the recent debate. She simply would have proceeded to kick their asses.

Look back at the last five men who have been president. George W. Bush has had the mental toughness to withstand the searing criticism that every president must take. So did Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan. Whoever is president must be figuratively bulletproof, and sometime literally.

On the other hand, George Bush Sr. did not have that mental toughness. He allowed the difficulties of the office to get to him. Likewise Jimmah Carter. He couldn't handle it. Is it any surprise that Bush Sr. and Carter were one-term presidents whereas Reagan, Bill Clinton, and Bush Jr. were re-elected?

Hillary does not possess the fortitude to be president. Certainly she knows how to dish it out. Consequently, some simple-minded people are fooled into thinking she is tough. But like most bullies, Herself can only play offense. She can't take it when someone gives her any trouble. For that reason and many others, she is not qualified to be president.

There was a recent brouhaha when Heidi Cullen, a climatologist at the Weather Channel, called for decertifying global warming skeptics.

But now the very founder of Heidi's platform, meteorologist John Coleman, has called global warming the 'Greatest Scam in History'

It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create an allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the “research” to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.
Environmental extremists, notable politicians among them, then teamed up with movie, media and other liberal, environmentalist journalists to create this wild “scientific” scenario of the civilization threatening environmental consequences from Global Warming unless we adhere to their radical agenda. Now their ridiculous manipulated science has been accepted as fact and become a cornerstone issue for CNN, CBS, NBC, the Democratic Political Party, the Governor of California, school teachers and, in many cases, well informed but very gullible environmentally conscientious citizens. Only one reporter at ABC has been allowed to counter the Global Warming frenzy with one 15 minute documentary segment.
I do not oppose environmentalism. I do not oppose the political positions of either party. However, Global Warming, i.e. Climate Change, is not about environmentalism or politics. It is not a religion. It is not something you “believe in.” It is science; the science of meteorology. This is my field of life-long expertise. And I am telling you Global Warming is a non-event, a manufactured crisis and a total scam. I say this knowing you probably won’t believe a me, a mere TV weatherman, challenging a Nobel Prize, Academy Award and Emmy Award winning former Vice President of United States. So be it.
I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril. I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming.
In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious. As the temperature rises, polar ice cap melting, coastal flooding and super storm pattern all fail to occur as predicted everyone will come to realize we have been duped. The sky is not falling. And, natural cycles and drifts in climate are as much if not more responsible for any climate changes underway. I strongly believe that the next twenty years are equally as likely to see a cooling trend as they are to see a warming trend.

This is ridiculous that we are allowing McAllister to stay here. How would we like it if Britain gave sanctuary to Osama bin Laden or Ayman al-Zawahiri? McAllister was involved in the murder of a policeman. For that he should have been executed or given life in prison. Moreover, he and his family have been living in the USA illegally for the last 10 years. He has shown no respect for the laws of the USA, just as he showed no respect for the laws of Northern Ireland.

Pheasant Opener in Kansas!

The opening of pheasant season could not have come too soon. Rocky, Daphne and I had a great time.

Started out on a quarter-section walk-in with a corn field to the north. Rocky and I hunted the west border without seeing anything, then we reached the northern border next to the corn field, and he got very, very birdy. He quartered back into the tall grass in the walk-in and suddenly a rooster emerged, squawking furiously and flying towards the cornfield. I had my Browning 20 gauge loaded with 3-inch #4 shot. I fired and missed with the first shot and hit with the second. The bird was dead by the time it hit the ground. Rocky was in the tall grass when the bird flushed, so he was unable to mark the fall. I handled him to the bird and he made a great retrieve.

At 9 years, Rocky is showing his age. But he is still a great hunting dog and I will continue to hunt him as long as he is able.

Next I hunted Daphne in another walk-in a few miles north, bordered by wheat stubble north of that. Daphne ran through a draw and put up a big rooster. I hit it with either my second or third shot. Once again, the dog was unable to mark the fall due to the high cover. Handling her would not have worked because she would be unable to see my signals due to the tall grass. So I walked her to the vicinity of the fallen bird and gave her the command "dead bird". She found it promptly and made an excellent retrieve.

My 20 gauge Browning semiauto is my main gun for everything except for geese and turkey. Don't let anyone tell you a 20 gauge is too small for pheasant. I like it because it is easier to carry, easier on the shoulder, and easier on the ears. I usually hunt with a light modified choke. I do have a Weatherby 12 gauge O/U as a backup gun. But the only times I need to use it are when it is so cold that my semiauto won't cycle, or sometimes it gets so windy out on the plains that dust gets in the action and stops it from cycling.

I much prefer #4 shot for pheasant. I know that many people prefer #6 but I find I get more dead birds and fewer cripples with #4. It has much greater penetrating power, especially at long distances.

They predicted that sovietization would lead to greater economic performance. (Not). And then, when seventy years of Soviet, Chinese, Eastern European, and North Korean history showed Marx's predictions to be wrong, wrong and wrong again, they still claimed to be "scientific." That's pathological science --- fraud masquerading as science.

The left have always hated capitalism, because some 'geniuses proved' that it was doomed to fail, in spite of the decades of evidence that it is the only economic system to have accomplished any growth whatsoever. Likewise, human CO2 emissions must be causing global warming. We know this because a 'broad consensus of scientists' have shown this to be 'true'. And of course the left's solution to this imminent catastrophe is to place industry under the control of government!

Terrorist Keith Ellison Wants to Ban Photo ID Requirement for Voting

Rep Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) has introduced a bill that would ban states from requiring that voters show a photo ID when voting:

Keith Ellison, who said such requirements disenfranchise minorities, the poor, women, elderly and young people.“While photo IDs seem harmless, they are in fact the modern day poll tax,” Ellison, D-Minn., said in a statement.

Paul Tibbets, the pilot of Enola Gay, the B-29 that dropped the nuclear weapon on Hiroshima, Japan in 1945, has passed away:

What Tibbets and his crew did was to save hundreds of thousands of lives. A US invasion of Japan would have been a bloodbath.

On many occasions, I have heard some of the liars on the left claim that Japan had already surrendered prior to the nuclear strike on Hiroshima. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Japanese proposed a cease fire, they did not offer to surrender until after we nuked both Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and then only when Truman agreed to allow Japanese Emporer Hirohito to remain as emporer, albeit only as a figurehead.

UN renews call for ending US embargo on Cuba

The UN General Assembly on Tuesday voted overwhelmingly for the 16th year in a row in favor of lifting the 45-year-old US trade embargo against communist-ruled Cuba.
By a vote of 184 in favor, four against and one abstention, the 192-member assembly reiterated its "call upon all states to refrain from promulgating and applying laws and measures (such as those in the US embargo) in conformity with their obligations under the Charter of the United Nations and international law."
In a virtual repeat of last year's vote, the United States, Israel, Palau and the Marshall islands voted against the resolution, while Micronesia abstained.
The resolution again urged "states that have and continue to apply such laws and measures to take the necessary steps to repeal or invalidate them as soon as possible in accordance with their legal regime."
The vote came less than a week after US President George W. Bush vowed the US economic sanctions against the Cuba would remain in place.
"As long as the regime maintains its monopoly over the political and economic life of the Cuban people, the United States will keep the embargo in place," Bush said.

What's the matter, United Nondemocracies? Are you afraid that your country will be next? There's no way we are going to lift the embargo. Doing so would show disrespect to the memory of the brave Cubans who have fought the brutal dictatorship in Cuba.

Just as you did nothing to combat the obviously false charges made against the three students at the university where you teach. And you also did nothing to combat the threats leveled against the three men. Instead, you fanned the flames of racial animosity in Durham.

Declining Numbers of Hunters Hurt Environmental Conservation Efforts

In USA Today we hear conservationalists lament the declining number of hunters

States that rely on tens of millions of dollars in hunting license fees annually to pay for environmental conservation are trying to boost a population they had never thought of protecting: the endangered American hunter.
The number of hunters has slid from a peak of 19.1 million in 1975 to 12.5 million last year, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
With that drop has come worries that states won't be able to pay for the rising costs of conservation efforts and acquisition of open space.
States generated $724 million last year through hunting licenses and fees for wildlife management and conservation; taxes on guns and ammunition added another $267 million, according to the Fish and Wildlife Service.
"Sportsmen pay the bills, especially east of the Mississippi," says Rob Sexton, vice president for government affairs at the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance, a hunters advocacy group in Columbus, Ohio. "A vast majority of the public land where people go for walks, wildlife viewing or mountain biking, the vast majority is bought by sportsmen."

Now why would this be? Perhaps because many law-abiding hunters get treated like criminals by law enforcement? When I lived in Florida, I was repeatedly harassed by game wardens of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, and by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. On numerous occasions they tried everything they could to find some reason to issue me a citation, but they never could, because I am a law-abiding hunter.

One day I was hunting at the Corbett Wildlife Management Area in Palm Beach County. I was stopped by a state game warden. He checked my licenses, checked my gun, everything he could possibly check and then left. Ten minutes later he came back and said that the tag on my truck did not match the records at the state bureau of motor vehicles. He demanded to know where I had gotten the tag and I told him at the court house. He began getting insanely angry and was screaming at me, demanding to know where I had gotten the tag. I answered him again. He demanded to see my registration and I gave it to him. Then he told me to sit down on the road next to my truck. I complied and he radioed the state BMV again. The woman he was talking to said she made an error when she entered my tag number. He gave my registration back to me and drove off, never apologizing or expressing any regret for having ruined my hunt.

That dork is supposed to be enforcing the game laws. Why was he worried about my truck tag? I have had hunts on public WMAs where I was checked by wardens three or four times.

One year three of us were hunting at the Lake Harbour Waterfowl Magement Area, just south of Lake Okeechobee. This was during early teal season in September. As we were packing up to leave, we saw a man in waders walking up to us in the marsh. He said he was a warden of the US Fish and Wildlife Service and accused us of shooting a Florida Mottled duck. He claimed that he had the duck stuffed into his waders. (That's an old trick that cops use. Claim they have evidence that doesn't exist in order to provoke a confession). We denied shooting any Mottled ducks. He took our licenses and then checked our guns for plugs and checked every single one of our shells. He then gave our licenses back and let us go. We could tell he was *PISSED* at not being able to give us a citation.

Often the fees and permits required to hunt are ridiculous. In most states, just to hunt ducks or geese you have to have (1) hunting license, (2) Federal waterfowl permit, (3) State waterfowl permit, and (4) HIP permit. You have to pay all those fees in order to pay the salaries of those assholes who spend all their time harassing law-abiding hunters.

There are many people who try to make it impossible to hunt. Hunters and gun owners are constantly being demonized. The above article has a quote from a loser at the Humane Society of the United State:

Some say the focus on hunter retention is not the way to go.
"The number of people who hunt has declined in recent decades, and the number of people who enjoy wildlife in other ways, like wildlife watching or bird-watching, continues to expand," says Michael Markarian, executive vice president of the Humane Society of the United States. "Efforts to reverse these trends are futile."

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) does not run any animal shelters, nor does it have any connection with the local Humane Societies or SPCAs. It is solely a political organization whose goal is to ban hunting and also ban all private possession of firearms. Many of the officers and members of the HSUS have connections with terrorist organizations like PETA and ALF.

Code Pink Thugs Assault Patriots in Berkeley

Anyone naive enough to believe that anti-war protestors are peaceful should read about the recent activities of Code Pink, a socialist anti-American group, in Berkeley, California:

A showdown between anti-war activists who last month defaced a Marine recruiting office and flag-carrying patriots took over a street in Berkeley on Wednesday with noise levels that reached a half-mile away at the University of California in town.
Berkeley police officers kept the Code Pink contingent of about 150 separated from the group of about 500 led by Move America Forward, the nation’s largest pro-troop organization. The incidents of abhorrent behavior were rare, but included an anti-war demonstrator trying to knife a pro-troop supporter and two code Pink followers burning flags.
A group of Code Pink protesters surrounded a woman and pushed her around after she said that her brother and other family members were protecting the United States in Iraq. The young woman shook with fear and wept.

Code Pink are nothing but thugs. They hate democracy and free enterprise. Any foreign dictator is their friend.

Poor Knife-Honk Forced to Pay for His Own Defense

Mikey Knife-Honk, disgraced former purveyor of false prosecutions, has asked the state of North Carolina to pay for his legal defense for the lawsuit that the three innocent lacrosse players have brought against him, the city of Durham, and numerous officers in the Durham police department.

The state must refuse to provide for such representation if the Attorney General determines that the actions or omissions were not within the scope of the employee's official duties; the acts or omissions involved fraud, corruption, or malice; defense of the actions would create a conflict of interest; or, defense of the actions would not be in the best interest of the state.

Democrat Congressional Staffer Insults NASCAR Fans

You can often learn much about how someone feels about certain people or groups of people by observing how they act or react in some irrelevant situation. For example, Democrat James Carville's statement "Drag a 100 dollar bill through a trailer park...." concerning Paula Jones' sexual harassment lawsuit against Bill Clinton revealed how he feels about people with lower incomes.

Now we have a Democrat staffer for Rep Bennie Thompson (D - Miss) recommending that political operatives who visit NASCAR events need vaccinations:

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- It got the GOP's engines revving -- a Democratic official suggesting staffers get immunized for several diseases before heading south from Washington and into the Red State wilds of NASCAR country to conduct research at a pair of races.
The reaction on both sides illustrates just how valuable candidates for elected office consider the votes of NASCAR fans who pack grandstands by the thousands every weekend and the donations of business leaders who spend millions to sponsor the sport.

It started last month, when an official with the House Committee on Homeland Security suggested that staff aides get immunizations before visiting health facilities at Alabama's Talladega Superspeedway and North Carolina's Lowe's Motor Speedway, where the Bank of America 500 was run Saturday.
In an e-mail, a staffer who works for committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., noted an "unusual need for whomever attending to be vaccinated against hepatitis A and B," as well as "the more normal things -- tetanus, diphtheria, and of course, seasonal influenza."

The sheer contempt that the left have for people in the red states is amazing. They believe we are all a bunch of inbred hillbillies. And then the idiots can't understand why we don't vote for them!

It all started when "The Donald" — as Trump's ex-wife, Ivana, liked to call him — bought a 1,400- acre plot by the beach in Belmedie, 11 miles north of Aberdeen, and announced plans to build Trump International Golf Links on it — along with a 450-bedroom hotel, 950 holiday homes, 36 luxury golf villas, 500 private residences, an elite golf academy, driving range and accommodation block for construction workers.
"That's where the golf course will be," Mike gestures from his chair, left arm bandaged up from a recent operation on his thumb.
"Fifty yards away on that side, and 50 yards away on the other."
For the problem is that Mike, Molly and Mike's 60-year-old wife, Sheila — currently hard at work in the fish factory down the road — live slap bang in the middle of Trump's site.
And they won't budge.
"To me, you can't put a price on it. I won't sell and he knows that," says Mike.

So what is the Donald doing about it?

"Put it this way, in the last few months I've had visits from animal cruelty, the RSPCA, environmental health and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency.
Oh, and a couple of weeks ago I had the police round saying I had a shotgun with no licence. I don't even have a shotgun.
It all seems a bit coincidental, don't you think?
"He's also withdrawn access rights from my land down to the beach — I need a tractor to drag the nets, so without it, I can't fish."
He has also had lawyers' letters accusing him of damaging Mr Trump's property, which he denies.

Western nations have accepted more immigration from alien cultures in a shorter period of time than any other civilization has done peacefully in history. We have reached our limits and we need a break from mass immigration before our entire political and economic system breaks down.The idea that every white person who desires self-determination and self-preservation is a racist, a white supremacist and a Nazi is nonsense and should flatly be rejected. The vast majority of racist violence in Western nations is by non-whites attacking whites. Consequently, if we limit immigration this is anti-racism, since we are protecting our children against racist violence. It is not about white supremacy, either, it is about equality. Whites are currently the only racial group specifically denied the opportunity to defend their countries and heritage. If we assert our right to do so we are thus fighting for equality, not supremacy.

I can just picture some lefty reading this and saying "Oh, you racist, sexist, homophobe! You probably drive around in a U-Haul loaded with fertilizer and fuel oil"

I don't have tenure. Most college professors have political views similar to the ones I am criticizing in the blog.

Why are the left so stupid?

The main purpose of this blog is to lay bare the dishonesty and stupidity of the scum on the left. I hope they will be aggravated by my words as much as possible. So, I am beginning a series of essays detailing their stupidity.

Why are the left so stupid? Here are just a few reasons:

(1) “Affirmative Action” – misguided policies based upon the notion that two wrongs can somehow make a right. Ethnic minorities and sometimes also women are given priority over white men for college admissions, hiring, promotions, tenure decisions for college faculty, government contracts, and much more.

These racist policies are allegedly put into practice in order to compensate for past injustices. However, most of the people who perpetrated the past “injustices” are long gone, and the burden of the policies falls primarily on young people who had nothing whatsoever to do with the “injustices”. And the benefits of the policies are granted to many people who have never experienced an injustice.

Not all white men come from privileged backgrounds. Not all minorities or women come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Often the minorities who are given preference come from highly influential families, such as the daughters of U.S. Congressman William Jefferson, who when he was indicted for bribery bragged that they had graduated from Harvard Law School. Would they have been accepted to Harvard with the same grades and LSAT scores if they were white men from a middle class household?

Furthermore, if the condition of blacks and Hispanics is so awful in the USA, then why are so many of them desperately trying to come here? They enter the country, often illegally, and push whites further and further back to the end of a longer and longer line.

“Affirmative Action” is nothing but bald-faced racism and sexism disguised with a nice sounding phrase.

(2) Support for Dictatorships in Foreign Countries – the idiots on the left like having their vote count in the USA. But they don’t want to allow people in other countries the same luxury. Many of them praised the Soviet Union during its reign of terror and murder. They have also praised Mao Tse-Tung, Pol Pot, Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Daniel Ortega, and Hugo Chavez. Somehow the left feel that just because some dictator opposes the USA, then that makes it acceptable for them to abuse their own people, deny them the write to vote in free and fair elections, and deny them their basic liberties.

(3) Suppression of Freedom in the USA - many of the left seek to deny basic freedoms to American citizens. The “hate-crimes” laws and campus “speech codes” are all attempts to deny basic freedom of thought and expression. Some of the left have even advocated that anyone like myself who speaks out against “affirmative action” should be arrested and imprisoned.

When Bill Clinton was president, he had two people arrested, on his explicit orders, for yelling “you suck” during one of his speeches. He had White House travel director Billy Dale prosecuted on false charges in order to hand the travel business over to his friend.

(4) Suppression of Voting Rights in the USA - The hypocrisy of the left reached an all-time high during the Florida recount fiasco following the 2000 presidential election. Al Gore repeatedly claimed that he wanted “all the votes counted” and at the same time he sent hordes of attorneys to Florida to challenge each and every absentee ballot sent in by a member of the military.

During the 2004 election, Ralph Nader ran for president as an independent. But attorneys for the Democrats pressed legal challenges in every state that he tried to get on the ballot, fearful that he would split the leftwing vote. Nader is every bit as bad as any Democrat, but the leaders on the left don’t want people to be able to make a choice. If they had some way of keeping Republicans and Libertarians off the ballot, they would do so.

(5) Support for High Taxes – the left are constantly trying to raise taxes on U.S. citizens and corporations. In spite of the overwhelming empirical evidence that low tax rates result in higher growth rates of the economy, the left want to increase personal income taxes, corporate income taxes, sales taxes, excise taxes, oil and gas extraction taxes, and estate taxes. Their justification is based on their belief that everything and everyone are the property of the state, and that they might be generous and allow us to keep a little bit of it. Taxes are ridiculously high in the USA and most people receive little or no benefits or government services in return.

Massacre in Burma

According to a Burmese army officer who has defected to Thailand, thousands are dead in Burma following the riots

Thousands of protesters are dead and the bodies of hundreds of executed monks have been dumped in the jungle, a former intelligence officer for Burma's ruling junta has revealed.
The most senior official to defect so far, Hla Win, said: "Many more people have been killed in recent days than you've heard about. The bodies can be counted in several thousand."
Mr Win, who spoke out as a Swedish diplomat predicted that the revolt has failed, said he fled when he was ordered to take part in a massacre of holy men. He has now reached the border with Thailand.

This is a typical socialist government. They have no respect for human freedoms nor human lives.

The 42-year-old chief of military intelligence in Rangoon's northern region, added: "I decided to desert when I was ordered to raid two monasteries and force several hundred monks onto trucks.
"They were to be killed and their bodies dumped deep inside the jungle. I refused to participate in this."
With his teenage son, he made his escape from Rangoon, leaving behind his wife and two other sons.

How long will it take for the jackasses on the left to blame this on Bush? I can just picture Michael Moore and Al Franken thinking of how to spin this tragedy to their advantage.
