Sotomayor to be Confirmed to SCOTUS Today

Barring a last-minute change of heart of several Democrat and Republican senators, Sonia Sotomayor will be confirmed to the Supreme Court today.

This is a perfect example of how far out of touch the congress are with the voters. Sotomayor has openly expressed her racist contempt of whites. She has backed this up with her decision in the Ricci case, claiming that it is perfectly legal for a municipal government to discriminate against white firemen.

That the president and senators would put such a person with such beliefs on the Supreme Court is an act of sheer malevolence towards the people they were elected to represent.
