0bama doesn't Rule Out Jail Time For Disobeying New Health Care Laws

I wish I had a nickel for every time I heard some leftist claim that he could have the government take over the economy without suppressing individual freedom and civil rights. It isn't possible. Political freedom and economic freedom go hand in hand, as F.A. Hayek so eloquently demonstrated in his book "Road to Serfdom".

Now we know that the health care nationalisation bill recently passed by the House of Representatives has a provision that anyone who defies the rules and refuses to buy the health insurance gets thrown in jail. An ABC reporter recently pressed 0bama on the matter and he did not rule out the possibility of jail time as a punishment.

That is the essence of the political philosophy of the left. They want authoritarian (or even totalitarian) government. They don't want freedom. That's why I don't want them.
